Sara B. Sweeney is a Principal at McCall Sweeney & Silva, P.C.  Sara is an experienced litigation attorney and practices primarily in the areas of Divorce and Family Law, including matters such as, divorce, separation, pre-nuptial agreements, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, paternity, child abuse and neglect defense, and family offense proceedings.

After graduating from South Colonie High School, Sara attend SUNY Buffalo State College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree (dual major) in Political Science and Philosophy, played four (4) years of collegiate soccer, and served as a Student Justice for the United Student Government Judicial Council.   Thereafter, Sara attended SUNY University of Buffalo Law School and obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree.  While receiving her legal education, Sara participated in the Pro Se Civil Litigation Support Practicum advising litigants in Family Court and U.S. District Court proceedings.  

Sara is admitted to the New York State Bar and New Jersey Bar, and has been named to the Super Lawyers and Rising Star List in multiple years since she was admitted.

In her free time, Sara enjoys traveling and having an active lifestyle consisting of snow skiing/ boarding, golfing, participating in triathlons, as well as spending time with her husband, David, and her family and friends.
